Look around the classroom.

  1. Write down thirty nouns that you see.
  2. Write down five proper nouns.
  3. Write down thirty verbs you see happening.
    (What are people doing? EXAMPLE: breathe, talk, sit. Be creative.)
  4. For your first ten verbs, write ten sentences in the present tense beginning with the pronoun "she."  (EXAMPLE: She is breathing. She is sitting.)
  5. For verbs 11 through 20 on your list, write ten sentences in the past tense beginning with the pronoun "they."  (EXAMPLE: They thought about the difference between nouns and pronouns.)
  6. For your final ten verbs, write ten sentences in the future tense beginning with the pronoun "I."  (EXAMPLE: I will hand my paper in.)
